Eagle Air

In February 2013, EADB approved a loan of USD 1.6 million to Eagle Air to construct an aircraft maintenance hangar and to contribute towards the companies working capital.

EADB were happy to drive SME and private sector development through financing Eagle Air. However, Eagle Air also contribute enormously to the economic development of Uganda and East Africa. In supplying their services to oil exploration services, Eagle Air support Uganda’s government objective to develop the oil and minerals sector. Eagle Air also drive regional integration, in particular as they are the only airlines to fly to some destinations in South Sudan and DRC. Completion of the hangar will also create 7 permanent jobs in a highly skilled field.
